Avoid Foreclosure in Denver

Facing a foreclosure can be one of the most harrowing experiences that life can throw at someone. Since homeowners in trouble often do not have the money at hand to pay a real estate agent, or to pay the necessary closing costs, they often wait to call for help until it is too late. Many Denver homeowners dont realize that the lender in the short sale process will absorb all real estate and closing costs. Also, a successful negotiation for a short sale can mean that the borrower will have "Lien Satisfied" on their credit report versus a dreaded foreclosure.

The difference between a short sale and a foreclosure is enormous - it can mean owning another home some day, instead of being a renter forever.  A foreclosure is like a "Scarlet Letter" to a mortgage company, and it follows a person forever. While a foreclosure on a persons credit history is forever, a short sale is not.

In these troubled times, shame and embarrassment should not be an issue. TeamCox Realtors has gone through the extensive training necessary to be a "Certified Distressed Property Expert," or "CDPE." If you are facing financial difficulties, we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible, so we can help you. It is critical that you ask for assistance at the very first recognition of your inability to make your mortgage payment.
